PANDEMONIUM

Friday 19th August PANDEMONIUM @ The Haygate....
Arrived at pub at approx 19:40, as the traffic was bad due the stupid V Festival at Weston Park....
The band were setting up....all sound check done, then i started....abit of old stuff at first...

Joy Division - Love will tear us apart
The Cure - Lullaby
The Damned - Shadow of Love
The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary
Sisters of Mercy - Ribbons
Dark Tranquillity - The Wonders at your Feet

Then DJ Hellboy took over to do some that ppl were asking for.....
Like Coal Chamber, HIM, Marilyn Manson etc etc

The band Deviant UK, a three piece band, very like Gary Numan with a bit of an industrial/electronic kick. Seen afew bands like this and to my knowledge they should hit the big time. Very good vocals and background music, and guitar was impressive aswell. Even though the venue is small, there sound is overpowering and in a bigger venue they would kick ass, even though on the flyer it says "Gary Numan meet Marilyn Manson and NIN in a head-on car crash" I would have to agree on that, but they have more of an edge to NIN which is good, as NIN are starting to fall......as "With Teeth" ain't there best.

The band did a "Fade To Grey" cover and it was awsome, power went during the track due to the strobe light (which at the end of the gig it had burn't out) but resumed again. Too much dry ice (due to the fact couldnt turn off) but good effects with the lighting.

Coming to the end of the gig and there last track is as good as the first, what an hour...thouroughly enjoyed by myself and afew others would agree....

Shall be getting a demo off the band during the week...

After the band DJ Cruel Brit@nnia from The Giffard (Wolverhampton) took over..
Did a cool set....

Then i did the last hour....to a very hard crowd....

Then got told that i was the first to play Suicide Commando in the area....woohoo.....Hellraiser rocked the place...and i didn't care if ppl didn't like it...

Time ran out so could'nt play what i wanted to like VNV Nation....:(

Was an ok night.....hopefully next month will be better, cuz of this V Festival crap..there wasnt many ppl....
